Bonny Eagle had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Windham Eagles 3-2. The Scots haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Bonny Eagle took Windham into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 15-6.

Despite the loss, Windham still got an impressive performance from Lauren Neal, who had 14 digs and one assist. Neal is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Windham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Bonny Eagle will be playing at home against Deering at 6:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Windham, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Gorham on the 11th.
