Football Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Beaumont's Winning Streak + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Beaumont can now relate to. They took a hard 38-21 fall against the San Clemente Tritons on Friday. The Cougars were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Defeat or not, Beaumont got some senior leadership from Jeremiah Duhu and Braedon Miller. Duhu rushed for 61 yards and two scores, while Miller picked up 96 receiving yards and one TD.

A big part of San Clemente's victory came down to the chemistry between Preston Beck and his top target Thomas Alexander. Beck threw for 200 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes while Alexander picked up 134 receiving yards and four TDs. Those 134 receiving yards gave Alexander a new career-high. Carson Sloan handled things on the ground, rushing for 82 yards and a rushing touchdown.

The loss snapped Beaumont's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-3 record. As for San Clemente, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Beaumont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Clemente, they will take on Vista Murrieta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
