Volleyball Recap: Elysian Fields Takes a Loss

If Elysian Fields was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Gary on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Beckville Bearcats on Friday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-9.

Elysian Fields has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's still a better percentage than their 6-23 record this season. As for Beckville, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 31-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Elysian Fields is set to challenge their familiar foe Waskom at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Beckville will square off against rival Timpson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
