Basketball Recap: Faith Lutheran Comes Up Short

Faith Lutheran played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Trinity Christian Academy Warriors and fell 103-44. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 61-20.

Trinity Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Nutt led the charge by dropping a double-double on 31 points and 11 assists. The matchup was Nutt's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Luke Rolen, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Faith Lutheran and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lakewood Presbyterian the next time they take the court. Trinity Christian Academy will head out to face Lakewood Presbyterian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Faith Lutheran will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
