Volleyball Recap: Catawba Ridge Falls Despite Big Games from Jameson Reynolds and Davin Freeman

If Catawba Ridge was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northwestern on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Copperheads came up short against the Marvin Ridge Mavericks on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Copperheads haven't had much luck with the Mavericks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16, 25-14.

Catawba Ridge's loss came despite strong showings from Davin Freeman and Jameson Reynolds. Freeman had 13 digs and two assists, while Reynolds had six digs.

Marvin Ridge can attribute much of their success to Brooklyn Wilson, who had 18 digs and two assists. Those 18 digs gave Wilson a new career-high.

Catawba Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8-1. As for Marvin Ridge, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-2.

Catawba Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Indian Land on the 7th. As for Marvin Ridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Sun Valley on the 7th.
