Soccer Game Preview: Baton Rouge vs. Tara

The Baton Rouge Bulldogs will face off against the Tara Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Baton Rouge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: East Ascension, who was ranked 17th at the time (Baton Rouge was ranked seventh). Baton Rouge put the hurt on East Ascension with a sharp 6-1 victory on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on five straight.

Meanwhile, everything went Tara's way against Livonia on Monday as Tara made off with a 5-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly four goals.

They hit Livonia with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sahir Martinez (2), Anddy Sorto (2), and Juan Matute.

Baton Rouge's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five matchups. As for Tara, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.
