Recap: Cactus Shadows Falcons vs. Gilbert Tigers
The Cactus Shadows Falcons lost against the Gilbert Tigers back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cactus Shadows was dealt a 66-22 defeat at the hands of Gilbert. Cactus Shadows was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-11.
Gilbert found their leader in underclassman Aspen McClees, who scored 21 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Caia Campbell, who scored 11 points along with 6 assists and 4 steals.
Cactus Shadows' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gilbert, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Cactus Shadows will be playing at home against Cienega at 7:00 p.m. on November 29th. Gilbert will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Chaparral at 10:00 a.m. on November 24th. Chaparral will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Gilbert is ranked eighth).
