O'Connor entered their tilt with Shadow Ridge on Monday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Stallions by a score of 8-5. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Carter Daly tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, O'Connor let Brent Sollars and James Carr run wild. Sollars went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Carr scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. What's more, Carr posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Xaevan Doucet, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

O'Connor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

O'Connor's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Shadow Ridge, they moved to 10-9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, O'Connor will head out to face off against Liberty at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Shadow Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Maryvale at 3:45 p.m.
