Hoggard has gone a perfect 10-0 against Ashley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will head out to take on the Screaming Eagle at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Hoggard was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 34-28 to North Brunswick. The Vikings gained 218 more yards on the day, but it was the Scorpions that made the best use of them.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was David Hunter, who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries. Aamere Montgomery was in the mix as well, providing Hoggard with two scores.

Meanwhile, Ashley didn't have quite enough to beat West Brunswick on Friday and fell 24-21. The Screaming Eagle have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ashley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Aiden Wilkinson, Tyson Hammonds, and Michael Miller Jr. picked up one apiece. Another thorn in West Brunswick's side was Adrian Gaines, who picked up 1.5 sacks and made 17 total tackles.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hoggard fell to 8-1. As for Ashley, their record now sits at 3-6.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Hoggard has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 148.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ashley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 184.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Hoggard was able to grind out a solid victory over Ashley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 35-27. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Screaming Eagle turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
