Recap: Tom Bean Tomcats vs. Prairiland Patriots
The Tom Bean Tomcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 53-43 win over Prairiland. The win was some much needed relief for Tom Bean as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Tom Bean was led to victory by Samantha Lind and Allie Hickman. Lind scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Hickman dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Lind hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Reese Perkins was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Tom Bean's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Prairiland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Tom Bean and Bells will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bells presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tom Bean in Texas (Bells is ranked 208th, while Tom Bean is ranked 1182nd). As for Prairiland, they will head out on the road to face off against Cumby at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
