Football Game Preview: Owensboro Catholic Aces vs. Crittenden County Rockets

Owensboro Catholic is a perfect 4-0 against Crittenden County since September of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Aces will host the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Owensboro Catholic sitting on seven straight victories and Crittenden County on six.

Owensboro Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Fort Campbell 61-7. The Aces might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Dre'Mail Carothers was his usual excellent self, throwing for 287 yards and five TDs while completing 81% of his passes. He has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Edge, who rushed for 95 yards and one score.

Owensboro Catholic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jude Cecil.

Meanwhile, Crittenden County earned a 28-20 win over McLean County on Friday.

Crittenden County's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Owensboro Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
