Soccer Recap: Peru Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Monday. Peru took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northwestern. The defeat continues a trend for Peru in their meetings with Northwestern: they've now lost eight in a row.

Peru's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Northwestern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4-1.

Peru wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Wabash on the 23rd. As for Northwestern, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Marion on the 25th.
