After losing to Jasper the last time they met, Marshall decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bobcats snuck past the Pirates with a 52-47 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Marshall's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Jasper, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall will take on Tuckerman in a tournament on Friday. As for Jasper, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Omaha at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
