Soccer Game Preview: Blythewood vs. West Florence

The Blythewood Bengals will venture away from home to challenge the West Florence Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blythewood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

On Tuesday, Blythewood needed a bit of extra time to put away Swansea. They beat the Tigers by a goal, winning 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for Blythewood, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Ryan Hall and Daulton Purcell scored both of Blythewood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Despite a strong season so far, West Florence has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Waccamaw. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of seven yellow cards before it was all over.

Blythewood pushed their record up to 15-3-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for West Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
