Karns and Powell are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Beavers will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Karns fell victim to Lenoir City and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. That's two games in a row now that Karns have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Powell). Their defense stepped up to hand Heritage an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Powell needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Their offense was hitting Heritage from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Carson Blair led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Karns dropped their record down to 3-6-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Powell, their win bumped their record up to 2-4-2.
