Basketball Recap: Elias Santos-Brown's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cheyenne over Silverado

Cheyenne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Silverado Skyhawks, falling 77-51.

Cheyenne's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elias Santos-Brown, who went 7 for 12 en route to 16 points and four steals. Those 16 points gave Santos-Brown a new career-high. Phoenix Dalton was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six steals and five assists.

Cheyenne's record now sits at 4-16. As for Silverado, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-14 record.

Cheyenne will square off against Amplus Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Silverado, they will take on Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Liberty's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
