Abigail Cortez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). York was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berwyn/Cicero Morton only posted a batting average of .176.

York now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Leyden, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
