Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roosevelt). They breezed by the Ballard Beavers at home to the tune of 62-3 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-3.

Damari King was his usual excellent self, rushing for 161 yards and five touchdowns on only seven carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run. Nolan Mcwilliams did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 82 receiving yards.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Roosevelt was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 341 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 317 rushing yards in three consecutive matches.

One reason for the win was Roosevelt's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Kash Lexing with two.

Roosevelt pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ballard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
