The Scorpions have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

North Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Topsail, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.

North Brunswick didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against West Brunswick on the 15th. As for Topsail, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-9 loss against South Brunswick on the 15th.
