Baseball Recap: Colonial Forge Takes a Loss

Colonial Forge entered their contest against Courtland on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Colonial Forge suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 7-3. As for Courtland, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Colonial Forge will take on Brooke Point at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Black Hawks at the right time seeing as the Black Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Courtland, they will welcome Chancellor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.33 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
