Softball Game Preview: Kingston Cougars vs. Bourbon War Hawks

Kingston is 0-7 against Bourbon since March of 2024 but things could change on Friday. The Cougars will host the War Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Kingston has given up an average of 19 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kingston is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 17-2 to West County. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Bourbon had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Cardinals as they made off with a 12-4 win. The War Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Kingston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bourbon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
