Softball Recap: Remington Extends Winning Streak to Four

Remington strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 16-8 margin over the Moundridge Wildcats. With that win, the Broncos brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.

Remington got a massive performance out of Cheyenne Hoch, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Hoch has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Madi Phipps, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Remington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Remington's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Moundridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9-2.

Coincidentally, Remington and Moundridge will both be playing Little River the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Redskins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Broncos will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on the 13th.
