Baseball Recap: Rittman Comes Up Short

Springfield hit Rittman with a four-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 6-5. The Indians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in April of 2021.

This is the second loss in a row for Rittman and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Springfield, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Rittman will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Chippewa at 5:00 p.m. As for Springfield, they will head out to square off against Coventry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
