Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ivan Garza and Antonio Ibarra Lead Carlisle to Victory + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Carlisle had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past the Alvord Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 41-23. The victory was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won three matchups in a row.

A big part of Carlisle's win came down to the chemistry between Antonio Ibarra and his top target Ivan Garza. Ibarra gained 259 total yards while Garza gained 151 total yards. The dominant performance also gave Garza a new career-high in receiving yards (114).

Carlisle's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Alvord, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Carlisle will take on Hamilton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 12.1 points per game this season, so the Indians' offense will have their work cut out for them. Alvord does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
