Recap: Southeast of Saline Trojans vs. Republic County Buffaloes
The Southeast of Saline Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 74-33 win over Republic County. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Brenton Leeds had an outrageously good game as he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Daniel Kejr, who scored ten points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Southeast of Saline pushed their record up to 8-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Republic County, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Southeast of Saline won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Minneapolis at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Southeast of Saline focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday. As for Republic County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th.
