Recap: Lake Blue Streaks vs. Louisville Leopards
The Lake Blue Streaks suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Louisville 83-51. While losing is never fun, Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 477th, while Louisville is ranked seventh).
Hayden Nigro continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Louisville, scoring 28 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Nigro is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. Beau Siegfried was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 14 assists and two steals.
Lake's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Louisville, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.
Lake will be playing at home against Jackson at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Jackson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 691 points over their last ten matchups. As for Louisville, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Edward is on a six-game streak of home wins, Louisville a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
