Basketball Recap: Golden View Classical Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Golden View Classical Academy won against Loveland Classical last Wednesday with 52 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels secured a 52-47 W over the STEM School Highlands Ranch Spartans. The Sentinels haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Golden View Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than George Hermanson, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards. Hermanson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games he's played. Luke Chronowski was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.

Golden View Classical Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 29 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

STEM School Highlands Ranch lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaden Morrison, who to rack up 14 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Avi Thakkar, who posted 12 points.

Golden View Classical Academy pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points over those games. As for STEM School Highlands Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Coming up, Golden View Classical Academy will square off against Addenbrooke Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Addenbrooke Classical Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season. As for STEM School Highlands Ranch, they will head out to take on Loveland Classical at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
