Baseball Game Preview: Hamilton Big Blue vs. Monroe Hornets

The Hamilton Big Blue will take on the Monroe Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hamilton will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Fairfield, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Big Blue came out on top against the Indians by a score of 5-2 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Big Blue.

Meanwhile, Monroe had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past the Golden Eagles 13-3. Considering the Hornets have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Monroe's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
