Basketball Recap: Freeman Takes a Loss

Freeman lost against J.R. Tucker back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Freeman Mavericks took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the J.R. Tucker Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Tigers are ranked 34th).

Freeman's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11. As for J.R. Tucker, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.

Coming up, Freeman will square off against Glen Allen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for J.R. Tucker, they will take on John Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
