Christ the King is 2-8 against Community School of Davidson since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Christ the King Crusaders will head out on the road to square off against the Community School of Davidson Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Christ the King is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Bradford Prep: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Christ the King blew Bradford Prep out of the water with a 59-15 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-6.

Christ the King's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rosie Gorman, who posted 16 points and five rebounds. Gorman is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Audrey Gorman, who put up ten points in addition to seven boards and five assists.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Community School of Davidson). They breezed by Bradford Prep to the tune of 67-30 on Thursday. The Spartans pushed the score to 46-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears had little chance of recovering from.
Community School of Davidson found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Mccormick, who went 8 of 13 on her way to 20 points and six steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for Mccormick. The team also got some help courtesy of Regan Downey, who had 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The win made it two in a row for Community School of Davidson and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Christ the King, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Christ the King has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 38.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Community School of Davidson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Christ the King couldn't quite finish off Community School of Davidson when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 38-35. Can Christ the King avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
