Basketball Recap: Vail Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Vail Christian lost against Cedaredge back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Saints were dealt a 67-18 defeat at the hands of the Bruins.

Vail Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Vanessa Reyes and Susie Irving. Reyes posted six points and eight rebounds, while Irving scored seven points and eight boards.

Cedaredge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rachel Brooks led the charge by shooting 54% from the field on her way to 14 points and seven rebounds. Brooks has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: she's posted one of at least 50% every time she's hit the court this season. Sammy Denison was another key player, going 6-for-11 en route to 16 points and five assists.

Vail Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cedaredge, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Vail Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Nucla at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cedaredge, they will head out on the road to take on Ridgway at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
