Basketball Recap: Cumberland Christian Home Educators Comes Up Short

Cumberland Christian Home Educators was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 67-53 to Forsyth Home Educators. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Cumberland Christian Home Educators came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 239th in Kentucky, while Forsyth Home Educators is ranked 550th in North Carolina).

Despite the loss, Cumberland Christian Home Educators saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aiden Drew almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. Noah Hughes was another key player, putting up six points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Cumberland Christian Home Educators' defeat dropped their record down to 24-19. As for Forsyth Home Educators, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-20 record.

As of now, neither Cumberland Christian Home Educators nor Forsyth Home Educators have any future games scheduled.
