League recap: Cunningham throws longest pass in league this season for Perryville

Cameron Cunningham and Tyrell Hollingsworth provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Patterson Mill. The connection was good for 88 yards, the longest such play in Upper Chesapeake Bay - Susquehanna this season.

Elkton moved up to 60 from 96 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Golden Elks climbed the ranks as a result of a 35-14 win over Edgewood.

Perryville's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cunningham threw for 192 and two touchdowns and Brian Matthews had 138 yards receiving. On the ground Joe Peaker chipped in 35 yards. Hollingsworth helped Perryville's passing attack out by catching two balls for 114 yards.

Perryville's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Elijah Johnson has thrown for 458 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Matthews has 10 catches for 248 yards. Peaker leads the league in rushing with 514 yards.

A big matchup in Upper Chesapeake Bay - Susquehanna this week will be when the Panthers take on North East. Perryville is currently in first, while the Indians are in fourth.

Chris Johnson's team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Patterson Mill, 23-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
