Baseball Recap: Lee County Comes Up Short

Lee County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morgan County Cougars. Even if the Bobcats couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Lee County's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Morgan County, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-13.

Looking ahead, Lee County will face off against Betsy Layne at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Morgan County will be paying especially close attention to the Bobcats' contest: after the Bobcats face off against the Bobcats, they'll take on Morgan County again at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
