Softball Recap: Bennington Badgers vs. Southern Valley/Alma        
        
		
                                                         Bennington put another one in the bag  on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with  a   6-3  victory over Southern Valley/Alma.
  Leyla O'Connor was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits. O'Connor was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Presley Baca was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run.  Caydence Kenealy was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Bennington  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most three  strikeouts in four consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
 Bennington's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Southern Valley/Alma,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
 Bennington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  an  8-7  loss vs. Scottsbluff on the 24th. Southern Valley/Alma has also already played their next matchup,  an  8-7  victory against Gothenburg on the 24th.
