Baseball Game Preview: Roncalli Jets vs. Lourdes/Valley Christian Knights

The Roncalli Jets will square off against the Lourdes/Valley Christian Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lourdes/Valley Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Roncalli, who comes in off a win.

Roncalli is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since April 29th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Hilbert 8-7.

Carter Kilbride was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, Lourdes/Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to Horicon. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Knights, who fell 3-1 when the teams last met back in April.

Roncalli has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lourdes/Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
