            Volleyball Recap: DeLand-Weldon Eagles vs. Fisher Bunnies        
        
		
        
        
            DeLand-Weldon lost against Fisher on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Bunnies by a score of  2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Makenna Woods, who  had 13  kills, seven  digs,  and one  block. Another player making a difference was  Madison Rigg, who  had seven  digs and one  block.
  Brooklynn Kellems was nothing short of spectacular for Fisher: she  had six  aces and three  digs. What's more,  Kellems racked up 19 assists, the most she's  had  over her last six  matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kierstyn Murphy, who  had 12  digs and three  assists.
DeLand-Weldon's loss dropped their record down to 13-18. As for Fisher, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record  this season.
 DeLand-Weldon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  2-1  defeat against Ridgeview on the 18th. As for Fisher, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  2-0  win against Decatur Christian on the 18th.
