Basketball Recap: Goshen Central Wins Going Away Against Wallkill

Goshen Central won the last time they faced Wallkill and things went their way on Saturday too. The Goshen Central Gladiators managed a 60-54 victory over the Wallkill Panthers. That looming 60-54 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Gladiators yet this season.

Despite the loss, Wallkill still got an impressive performance from Alex Marshall, who posted 19 points and five assists. Those five assists gave Marshall a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sean Petricek, who scored six points and seven rebounds.

The win got Goshen Central back to even at 3-3. As for Wallkill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Goshen Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-43 victory against Middletown on the 14th. Wallkill has also already played their next game, a 59-38 loss against Roosevelt on the 16th.
