Football Recap: Kirtland Comes Up Short at Home Against Brush

Kirtland unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 26-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brush Arcs on Sunday.

Brush pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Kirtland will face off against South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brush, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-0 win against Harvey on the 13th.
