The 6-foot, 165-pound receiver fends off a perfectly-positioned defensive back with his left hand and goes up to swallow up the ball with his right hand of a 45-yard pass (32 from the line of scrimmage) from junior quarterback Hunter Herrington.



The Mavericks beat Pine Tree 49-7 in the game to finish the regular season 6-4. They''ll have a bye next week to start the playoffs.

Bender came into the contest with modest numbers: 16 catches for 197 yards and one touchdown. Fans and players will be talking about this touchdown grab for years to come.
