Baseball Recap: Muskogee Wins Going Away Against Northwest Classen

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Collinsville, Muskogee was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Northwest Classen Knights a 15-0 shutout. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Roughers this season.

Jace Paul was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Muskogee: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-19 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kylin Blue, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Muskogee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Muskogee's record now sits at 12-20. As for Northwest Classen, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Muskogee beat the Knights by a score of 12-0 later that day.
