Softball Recap: Ash Fork/Seligman Starts Season with Win on the Road

Ash Fork/Seligman had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 26-19 margin over the Mayer Wildcats on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Mayer is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Coming up, Ash Fork/Seligman will take on Red Mesa at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give Ash Fork/Seligman their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Mayer, they will square off against Mohave Accelerated at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mohave Accelerated is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.
