The Strawberry Crest Chargers will take on the Lennard Longhorns in a tournament on Tuesday. Strawberry Crest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Strawberry Crest's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Alonso with a sharp 6-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.
Alonso's batters probably weren't too happy with Brisen Tweedy, who pitched a no hitter and racked up six Ks (he gave up a single walk). What's more, Tweedy gave up only zero hits, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Chase Conti was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Nico Cappucci was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Lennard narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Sumner 5-4.
Daniel DePaolo looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lennard is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-7 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luis Valentin - Ramos, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Samuel Nobrega, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Strawberry Crest pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lennard, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Lennard's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Strawberry Crest hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. It's a different story for Lennard, though, as they've only averaged .216. Will they be able to contain Strawberry Crest's hitters?
Strawberry Crest came out on top in a nail-biter against Lennard in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Will Strawberry Crest repeat their success, or does Lennard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
