Preview: USC-MAE Trojans vs. Animo Bunche Stallions
The USC-MAE Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Animo Bunche Stallions at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. USC-MAE is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Monday, USC-MAE was the victim of a tough 60-40 loss at the hands of Downtown Magnets. While losing is never fun, USC-MAE can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1195th, while Downtown Magnets is ranked 341st).
Meanwhile, Animo Bunche came up short against Central City Value on Tuesday and fell 54-46. Animo Bunche has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
USC-MAE's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Animo Bunche, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
USC-MAE beat Animo Bunche 41-30 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for USC-MAE since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
