Softball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Broaddus' Winning Streak

Broaddus and Brookeland squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Broaddus had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-0. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

With the loss, Broaddus broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-7-1. As for Brookeland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-4-3.

Broaddus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brookeland, they will face off against Avery on Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.33 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
