Academic Magnet came into Wednesday's contest looking for another win against Andrews, but Makayla Singleton wouldn't allow it. The Andrews Yellowjackets narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Academic Magnet Raptors 44-42 thanks to Singleton, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Camaria Gibson was another key player, putting up 15 points and seven rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, Academic Magnet still got an impressive performance from Lindsey Griffin, who posted 21 points and eight boards. Those 21 points gave Griffin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayden Moody, who scored four points and 17 rebounds.

Andrews' victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 3-22. As for Academic Magnet, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Andrews nor Academic Magnet have any future games scheduled.
