Soccer Recap: Northwood's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Northwood and NCSSM: Durham squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Northwood had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Unicorns by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Northwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 181st, while NCSSM: Durham are ranked 48th).

Northwood's loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7-5. As for NCSSM: Durham, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-1-2.

Northwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for NCSSM: Durham, they will be playing at home against Wake Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
