Alexander Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They won by a set and slipped past the Draughn Wildcats 3-2. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Alexander Central got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-20, 24-26, 15-10.

Coincidentally, Alexander Central and Draughn will both be playing Foard the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
