Softball Recap: Lambert Has No Trouble Against South Forsyth + How To Watch

Lambert barely beat South Forsyth the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Longhorns put the hurt on the War Eagles with a sharp 12-2 win on Tuesday. The Longhorns haven't had any issues with the War Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Caitlin Goodwin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Olivia Cantarutti, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Peyton Jamison was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

The win got Lambert back to even at 9-9. As for South Forsyth, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
