Soccer Recap: Maclay Finishes Even with Clay

Neither the Maclay Marauders nor the Clay Blue Devils could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The outcome might've been different if Reid Roberts hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Zach Ghazvini and Roberts scored both of Maclay's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

With that draw, Maclay's record moves to 2-0-2. Meanwhile, Clay's record is now 3-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maclay will welcome Leon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clay, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sandalwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
